NORSI Management Team and this years host institution Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) are delighted to welcome you all to NORSI’s Research Conference 2024 in Bergen from 23nd to 24rd of May! NORSI invites the entire community to discuss the latest within innovation and entrepreneurship research. On the 22nd of May 2024, NORSI will arrange our annual General Assembly Meeting in Bergen and from the 23rd to the 24th of May the annual NORSI Research Conference will take place.
This year’s NORSI Research Conference will be held at one of our partner institutions, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL), with NORSI Executive Committee member and NORSI faculty Professor Lars Coenen and his team at HVL. The conference participants will stay at Moxy Bergen (https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/bgoox-moxy-bergen/overview/) close by the venue at Kronstad and we will invite all participants to an exquisite dinner at a spectacular location on Thursday, 23rd of May.
We promise wonderful networking opportunities, exchange of knowledge, engaging keynote speakers and exquisite food! Stay tuned for the detailed program!
The structure of the conference
NORSI students: Present your research and receive the best comments! The NORSI conferences are known for opponents giving well-prepared, insightful, and in-depth comments to all the student presenters. The main rule is that only NORSI PhD students may present. If time allows, we might also welcome some alumni presentations.
PhD student presentations: The student presentations give interdisciplinary perspectives to a wide range of topics within innovation and entrepreneurship research. Prepared feed-back is given by one senior and one junior discussant.
NORSI students, alumni, faculty and partners: We invite you to stay for the whole conference, and we might ask you to be a discussant on a paper or two. Thank you in advance for your contributions!

Abstract word limit: 200- 300 words

Full paper: TBA
Each presentation will receive prepared feed-back from both a senior and junior opponent. Each student will be given 30 min.; 10 min. presentation and 10 min x 2 for feed-back/questions. The paper to be submitted before the conference does not have to be a complete work, and can be work in progress. Max. length should be about 8000 words, however shorter papers in draft versions are also acceptable. All abstracts will be made available online.
Accomodation and travel
The participants will stay at Moxy Hotel in Bergen and we will make the reservation for you. Accommodation is covered for all NORSI students, alumni, faculty and partner representatives. Please book your own travel tickets from your desired destination.
NOTE!! For the NORSI Conference 2024, we will cover accommodation, food and all costs connected to the conference but all participants will have to book and cover their own travel.
