In this educator workshop you will explore how you, as a teacher, can support your students in embarking upon their own sustainable careers. Drawing from his 25 years of experience in running and researching venture creation programmes, Mats Lundqvist will give you valuable insights into the characteristics, challenges, and possibilities that come with launching such careers.

It seems as if the younger our students become, the more they value and concern themselves with sustainability in all its shapes and forms. Even if that were not the case, the importance of contributing to a sustainable future is undeniable. Catering to that demand as educators means to not only learn how you can enable, help and encourage your students to develop and begin sustainable careers – but also to consider why and in what ways it is appropriate to do so.

In the context of advanced entrepreneurial education, Lundqvist will address and allow for interactive deliberations on the following questions:

  • What characterises sustainable entrepreneurial careers?
  • How do you, at a higher education institution, contribute to the development and launching of such careers – and how do you keep them from becoming unsustainable?
  • What are the key challenges, praxes, and ethics surrounding this type of education?

Additionally, the workshop will touch upon how venture creation programmes can translate into simpler course-based formats, and what the advantages are of using such courses as building blocks in a two year long Master’s programme.

Join, listen, discuss, and absorb the latest treasures of knowledge to enhance your ways of teaching and lifting your students to new heights.
