NORSI Presented at Research School Workshop

Slide by Lise Wogensen Bach, Aarhus University – Opportunities for research schools.

Internationalization and continuation of research schools: Several of the national research schools were invited by the Research Council of Norway to a workshop on 5 November 2020 to discuss how we work, challenges and opportunities and how to increase internationalization and continuation after funding runs out. The workshop took place on Zoom.

Information sharing and best practise are important for developing the research schools and its initatives, courses, organization and involvement.

NORSI Presentation: Roger Sørheim, NTNU and Birte Horn-Hanssen, BI presented NORSI’s process of achieving a Nordic NORSI as an example on how to increase parternships, internationalization and plan their way forward after funding runs out.

Recommendations, strenghts and weaknesses of research schools: Several of the national research schools have recently had their mid-term evaluation (not NORSI). The head of the committee of evaluations, Lise Wogensen Bach, Aarhus University gave an interesting presentation on strength, weaknesses, opportunities and general observations on research schools. This information is interesting for NORSI to include in our future planning of a Nordic Norsi.
